| U Pakal K'inich Janab' Pakal II is definitely portrayed on two monuments. One is from a broken tablet of unknown original provenance (three fragments were found in the northern part of the Palace, while one was found in the rubble below the Temple of the Foliated Cross). The other is on the recently discovered Bench from Temple XXI, where he is seated next to K'inich Janab' Pakal I. In addition to these portraits, U Pakal K'inich Janab' Pakal II is very likely portrayed on the Stucco Tablet of Pier P1 in Temple XIX, although this portrait could possibly be that of the contemporary ruler, K'inich Akul Mo' Nab' III. | ||
