2 | The name is implied, but not recorded, in this passage.
3 | These are period-ending dates from K'an Joy Chitam I's reign, but the glyphs are badly weathered. Very likely his name was originally present in these passages.
4 | There is also a reference to a 'K'an Joy Chitam' on a re-used stone in Groups I and II, north of the North Group. I take this to be a reference to K'inich K'an Joy Chitam II, though it is certainly possible that it could refer to K'an Joy Chitam I.
1 | The name is weathered, but the date can be reconstructed, and clearly the reference was to K'an Joy Chitam I, as indicated by the following emblem glyph.
5 | There is also a reference to a ‘K’an Joy Chitam’ on a ceramic sherd excavated in 2003 in the Picota Group, about one kilometer west of the Palace (López Bravo, López Mejía, and Venegas Durán 2003:12, 14). The sherd is from the Murcielagos ceramic phase (ca. AD 684-750), however, and therefore is most likely a reference to K’inich K’an Joy Chitam II.
