| K'inich Kan B'alam II recorded his parentage more than any other Classic Maya king. His parents were the illustrious K'inich Janab' Pakal I and Ix Tz'akb'u Ajaw. K'inich Kan B'alam II was succeeded by his younger brother K'inich K'an Joy Chitam II, indicating that he probably had no sons. Indeed, we do not know if he was married, for no queen of K'inich Kan B'alam II is known. |
