Iconographic Features:  Seated Anthropomorphic Being with Face Joints touching its nose and head. Elbows and knees replaced by human faces (face joints). Plant motif covers the front of the body. Nude woman (yellow) sits on the head. Side and back of the body show the representations of a dead woman (?), a nude man, and men carrying a trumpet. A rattle, a drum, carrying cords, plants and fishes, probably offerings, are dispersed between the figures.

Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  68 Culture:  Nasca Description:  ceramic vase, drawing after Gomez de la Torre 1985. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Anthropomorphic Being with Face Joints surrounded by panpipes which probably can be interpreted as offerings. Plant motif covers the front of the body. Drum or (chicha-)vessel placed between the legs. Two men are carrying a trumpet that is put into the ear of the main figure. Trumpet might function as resonance tool.

Iconographic Features:  Musican playing panpipe and drum (compare with Nasca drum at the right). Trumpet in the ear might function as resonance tool. His tunic is decorated with representations of panpipes.

Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  332 Culture:  Nasca Description:  effigy vessel, drawing after Anders 1984, 46. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5. Iconographic Features:  Feline Man characterized by a human body and the head of a feline (with mouth mask). He holds a couple of trophy heads and a club. He is grasped by a tall anthropomorphic being and appears behind its arm (with enclosed chain of serpents) illustrating sophisticated use of overlay.
