Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 4.
Iconographic Features:  Anthropomorphic Mythical Being in “flying” position grasping Feline Man. Also, it holds a trophy head in the left hand. Its orange tunic is flanked by two snake streamers that end in feline heads with claws.

Iconographic Features:  Feline Man (left) characterized by a human body and the head of a feline (with mouth mask). He is depicted with hands outstreched to the sides and holding a trophy head and a club. On the left, an anthropomorphic being with wings on its back. It holds a club.

Description:  large chicha (?) ritual vessel, private collection, redrawn after Zarate, Morales 1983, colored by Clados after Culturas precolombinas: Nazca, Lima 1986.
Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 2/3 Phase.
Iconographic Features:  complex iconographic scene depicting a mythical combat between supernatural beings and humans. A net surrounded by several supernatural beings (including BMB-4, Feline Hawk, Masked Mythical Being, Anthropomorphic Being with Jagged Tail) is depicted in the centre of the painting. The Masked Mythical Being (right of centre) is grasping the hair of a warrior (with two spears in his hand). Feline Man holding a fan appears at the upper right. To his right appears a human almost 'skeletonized', to his left a trophy head hanging on a carrying cord. To express the third dimension the supernatural beings are organized on three ground lines.

Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 4 Phase.
Iconographic Features:  Standing Anthropomorphic Mythical Being holding Feline Man and trophy head. Feline Man is depicted with showing ribs, a common convention to express starvation. Note that Feline Man is grasping the snake hair of the Standing Anthropomorphic Mythical Being, a gesture that clearly indicates fighting. The painting is outstanding because it shows a supernatural being grasped by its hair indicating it as defeated.
