Iconographic Features:  Bird Mythical Being 4 (BMB-4) depicted with feline head, wing, bird’s tail, human torso with legs, and human arms. Wing and tail depicted with snake feathers. To the spiked edge of the wing hair hanks are attached. The main figure holds a club, a fox and a trophy head.

Feline Hawk is depicted in bird’s-eye view Beside the Horrible Bird Feline Hawk belongs to the most important bird creatures in Nasca iconography.

Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  151 Culture:  Nasca Description:  effigy vessel, C-13447, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Seated Anthropomorphic Mythical Being holding Feline Man (left) and a warrior (right) who drops a sling. Arms and legs of the Seated Anthropomorphic Mythical Being with enclosed trophy heads. Shoulders with modeled columnar cacti (San Pedro cacti?). Extended tongue in form of a serpent with feline head attached. Feline Hawk (left below) and Anthropomorphic Mythical Being with Jagged Tail (right below) are attached to extrusions in form of jagged snake bodies. Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  268 Culture:  Nasca Description:  effigy vessel, ID number missing, M.N.A.A.H.-Lima. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 5 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Seated Anthropomorphic Mythical Being depicted with human body, snake arms and snake legs. It holds Feline Man (left) and a warrior (right) upholding a carrying cord. Spherical headdress shows Spotted Cat eating maize. Shoulders with modeled columnar cacti (San Pedro cacti?). Snakelike streamer (= extended tongue) emerges from the mouth, terminating in a feline head which in turn bifurcates into two serpents, the left one terminating in BMB-4, the right one terminating in Feline Hawk.
